Wesley's {Little} Accident
I was cooking dinner in the kitchen one night when I heard Wes scream. I ran to him, where I found him laying on the floor next to the coffee table bleeding from his mouth. He had jumped off the couch and smashed his face/teeth into the table. He happened to be wearing his cape at the time...the little man isn't as super and he would have hoped. I could immediately tell he had smashed two front teeth back, but that seemed to be the extent of his injury. I got him cleaned up and taken care of and he shortly there after was acting like nothing ever happened.
At this point Wes was happy as ever and pretty darn excited to show his shamed teeth to anyone who needed to take a look. We attempted an X-Ray. He sat very patiently while they got him all set up and ready to go. But the moment we stepped out of the room to get the X-Ray and jumped down.
When it was all said and done we didn't get an X-Ray, so none was really sure what Wes actually did. The Oral Surgeon said he may or may not have fractured something but it didn't look severe enough he needed surgery... So we were good to go. Just like nothing ever happened.
He was nice and bruised for the next few weeks but totally back to normal by the time we went in for another check up 2 weeks later. His teeth a still really wiggly and may fall out :( So sad. Here's to hoping they don't...for 5 more years.
And what a perfect week for a mouth injury. 2 Days later Skyler took manikin boards.
You can kind of see that his teeth have come forward quite a bit, thank goodness. Hope they keep making progress.
