Independence Day Fun!
After jeeping, we made our way into the water. We stayed in a cabin in South Fork right on the river so we drove about 20 miles upstream and KAYAKED back to the cabin. Skyler and I were in the same kayak. We thought we were pretty cool stuff until the current smashed us into a giant rock and tipped us. We laughed pretty hard after we finally got ourselves out of the water and back into the kayak. A little farther down stream, we saw an older gentleman on the bank trying to untangle his fishing line from a tree. When we floated passed, he looked up at us and as he did he lost his footing and TUMBLED into the river yelling. I wasn’t sure what to do, feel bad or laugh my head off. At the moment I was pretty sad for the man, but as we slowly floated away that’s when I lost it. I just couldn’t stop laughing. Very mean I know, but I couldn’t help myself. We packed a few more adventures into our trip, and ended it all with an annual FIREWORK show. We loved every minute of our outdoor adventures and spending time with the family. I mean how much more FUN can you have in just one weekend.
Check out pictures from our trip if you would like!
