To start off our eventful month Skyler graduated YAY, he finally gets a break before he starts his next four years of hard-core studying. Dena and Farrell were able to come down for the week to celebrate, and have lots of fun with the grandkids! We went to the human bodies exhibit, which was very neat, ate lots of good food, played rook until 1 in the morning (next time the girls will dominate, we were just going easy on them), and we enjoyed every other minute just being able to be around our family.

After our week with the family in Rexburg we drove the WONDERFULLY LONG drive to Kansas to be home for Lanes “farewell” and have some good ol’ fun with him his last week home, and GOOD OL’ fun we had indeed. (Minus the first few days that Preston was sick. A lot of sleeping went down)

We of course had to throw in a family zoo trip, check out our video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AJEUf9GjEs of the lions chasing Shane, this kept us entertained for a good 15 min.

We can’t leave grandmas house without our haircuts, and Preston’s was much needed. Mine on the other hand…I guess you could say much needed. I haven’t cut my hair this short since I was 4, when my mom was done cutting it I looked in the mirror, came back and said…”it’s OK mom, you can still see a little bit of Brookey if you look right here (pointing to a freckle). Mom was more scared to cut it than me, first she cut short layers and had me leave it a day, hoping I would change my mind, but I wanted a drastic change so I had her cut it off the next day. It has been a fun change, but the long hair is coming back!!! You probably think that I’m making a big deal out of this right?...Well that’s cause IT IS, I mean I only cut off 10 inches.

We were lucky enough to be there for Easter, and the super fun egg hunt. Preston loved finding the eggs and clapped for himself every time he put one in his basket. Dad even hid a extra large extra hard egg for each one of us older kids (I love the thrill of finding an egg chucked full of delicious candy).

What’s Easter without egg dying! And who could forget the Jimmer egg…not Ryan of course!

Preston LOVES MOLLY (all the grandkids do). If the kids are crying grandpa or grandma will take them out the see the dog and all their trouble are gone! Molly is a real trooper; she’ll take just about anything from the little ones.

While we were home Preston’s very good friend, (grandma) Carol brought by the most adorable quilt she made for Preston. She is such a sweet friend; we are so lucky to know her. The two of them had lots of fun exploring the yard and playing “basketball” with the rocks in grandmas flowerpots!

We traveled back to Rexburg with the family on Monday so Lane could say his goodbyes to the grandparents. We loved every minute we had to spent with Lane and hope the 2 years go by fast, we miss him tons already.
