Our Top Events of 2015 {Our Much Anticipated Year}
2015 was too good to us!
Most definitely our most eventful year to date...dare I say ever!?!!
Here's a recap of some of our most favorite memories of 2015!
JANUARY
Preston turned 5!
Skyler took up scratch built planes and had the maiden of his first plane (Rip Slinger).
Took the boys on their first shed hunt
FEBRUARY
I was exactly 26 weeks pregnant on 2.6, the week of my 26th birthday...Woah!
Family Valentine's Day Carnival might have become the first of many The boys ask to do it again every few months.
MARCH
Officially decided that we would be moving to KANSAS after graduation.
Endured our last Iowa winter/Ice storm. Enough said.
APRIL
Found out Skyler passed his last and final portion of boards. We may or may not have had a celebratory cook out to burn lots and lots of study material ;)
Closed on our very first home (in Kansas), that we wouldn't move into for another 3 months.
MAY
Welcomed Landon into our family. Making me yet again very HAPPILY outnumbered.
Skyler "Rang the cowbell" AKA: Completed every requirement to become a Dentist.
JUNE
Skyler Graduated from the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry!!!!!!
We visited our favorite Iowa places one last time and said our bittersweet goodbyes.
JULY
I got a handsome new Dentist ;) ...oh and Skyler started working at his new office (Harris & Harris Family Dentistry).
Wesley Turned 3!
Vacationed in Idaho to celebrate Lane & Ali (my brother's) wedding (and a grover family reunion).
AUGUST
We bought a new car! After being a 1car family for 2,600day-ish I feel freed. :)
Preston started Kindergarten. He's just like his Dad, loves to learn new things.
Skyler and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary.
SEPTEMBER
Landon started his first and very successful record breaking season of Hawkeye Football.
Spent Labor Day and many other days at the Lake with friends and family!
Moved into my parents house for a week while some blasted birds wrecked havoc on our new home-END OF STORY...it's a memory I don't want to remember, but will never be able to forget.
OCTOBER
Took a little family vacation to The Great Wolf Lodge, where Skyler attended his first CE course.
At the little boys request...dressed up as the Avengers for Halloween! Turned out to be kind of epic :)
NOVEMBER
Skyler shot his first Turkey on a weekend getaway with family.
Thanksgiving lunch with Preston at school...right before we headed back to Iowa to spend Thanksgiving with The Romriells.
Skyler and I went to the Iowa vs Nebraska (day after Thanksgiving) Game. FROZE to death but cheered on our hawks for the win, making them 12-0 for the first time in history!!
DECEMBER
Skyler turned 30!! (We celebrated at his work Christmas party.)
Spent our first Christmas (not traveling) and in our very own home.
We had such an incredible year and have so much to be thankful for. We our reminded of our blessings every day, as we watch our three healthy boys run wild, constantly putting smiles on our faces. We are grateful for our friendships with all of you and thankful to each and every person that was a part of this tremendous year.
