This is just an extra long post of all my random thoughts and pictures from Christmas/New Years.
Christmas morning was the best. The living room was just chucked full of people and wrapping paper. Doesn't get much better then that, right?
My Dad made some incredibly cool bows for all the sons/son-in-laws for Christmas. And yes...a little archery contest did take place. After the grandson's saw how cool the bows were, my Dad decided to make a few for them too. Preston is the proud new owner of one and keeps telling us he can't wait to get some arrows so he can start shooting at the range with us!
After things calmed down in the afternoon, we all enjoyed a skype call with Ryan. He is doing so good in Salt Lake. It was fun talking to him and actually see him!!

On a side note. Wes spent lots of time with Uncle Lane and still by the end of the week kept calling him Tayler. Haha totally sad (He actually called every boy in the house Tayler...at least he knows Tayler's name right?). But he seriously loves Lane, even if he can't remember his name sometimes.

We spent our night playing lots of games.
This year for our annual gift exchange, Lane had our family.
Lane seems to get my name a lot...which I totally don't mind. Once he made me a seriously cool, LARGE homemade banana chair (which I'm still waiting to put in my house one day). And a couple years ago he made us the game Washers. He goes all out on his gifts. This year he made us Corn Holes....I think that's what it's called. Those boxes with holes in them that you throw bean bags into. Yeah, cool huh? He painted one Iowa Hawkeyes and the other Kansas Jayhawks. Perfect little family competition! Can't believe I didn't take a picture, they are way sweet. (They were too big for our packed car :( They are temporarily staying at my parent's house.
Wow that was long, anyways....
New Years Eve we had a Corn Holes contest (Dad was the champion) and a Ping Pong contest. I'm sure my Dad would have been the champion at ping pong too, but we set up a bracket so only the losers ended up playing ping pong.
The rest of the evening was spent trying to stay awake :) While we watched Wes run circles around us...literally.
I don't even know where he gets his energy.
It was the perfect vacation to end the year. We can't wait to see what 2015 brings.
A new baby, graduation, A real job and moving...(somewhere?) All in the first 6 months.
Wow, it's going to be a good one.
