Halloween Dinner * Party *

Last weekend we went and visited Skyler's parents (we love that they are so close and we can actually visit often). Although Halloween is still a few weeks away, while we were there Dena put on a halloween dinner. It's a Halloween tradition around their house, and we were lucky enough to join in on the fun this year. It was my second Halloween dinner with the family and Preston's first (even though he slept through it). The food is Delicious, the menu is very clever, the decorations I love, (makes me feel so at home when a house is decorated cute for holidays), and the family time is priceless. Dena puts so much work into the Halloween dinner and it is SO worth it, and very much appreciated. We had a blast and I can't wait to celebrate many many more Halloween dinner's with the family.

You only order two items at a time, and since the menu items are disguised halloween style, you don't know what your ordering. That means if you order dessert first, you eat it....without the utensils that you didn't order yet. So fun!

This year Dena let me help make the menu's. They are fairly simple since I made them during nap time and my cricut was in Sleeping boys room :( But they definitely got the job done. Frankenstein is my favorite!

Skyler sure enjoyed his Goblin Finger's.

While we were in town we also got to celebrate another special event....Dena's birthday, and yes she did put on the halloween dinner on her birthday, squeezed in between conference sessions, pretty nice of her!

We made her a little birthday banner and on the morning of her birthday Skyler and I walked up the stairs holding the banner, sang happy birthday in french, OK ok my version was in english of course but Skyler continued his tradition with a french birthday wish!

Her birthday card to match the banner, a little different than the traditional cards I always make her! We wish we could have done more to show her how much we love her, we hope she had a special day and we were so happy to celebrate with her this year.
