Dental School Here We Come

For he’s a jolly good fellow and iowa can’t deny

Yesterday evening, Skyler was checking his e-mail, and this time it was no ordinary junk. This time is was some very, very good news! This is what the e-mail said:

Dear Dental Class of 2015,

I am pleased to extend my personal congratulations to you on your admission to the College of Dentistry for the 2011-12 academic year. I join the faculty and your peers in welcoming you to our collegiate family and a career in dentistry. We take pride in the quality of dental education offered at The University of Iowa. I look forward to meeting you soon and offer my best wishes to you for a fulfilling future.

A little confused, we thought maybe it was sent to the wrong person because we hadn’t heard anything from Iowa since Skyler’s interview.

So we hopped on over to the University of Iowa Dental School website and signed in, sure enough, in nice big caps: ACCEPTED! After seven longs months of waiting we finally got the news we had been hoping for for a L-O-N-G time. The wait seemed liked forever, but SO worth it! The University of Iowa was our first choice so that made us super excited. The school is 3 1/2hrs from Skyler's parent's and 11hrs to mine, It will be lots of fun being closer to both our families. Skyler has worked extremely hard in school and definitely deserves this, Preston and I are so proud of him! We are so excited for our newadventure to begin. School doesn’t start until August so we still have a while to enjoy Rexburg.
