Surprise!

Yes Preston, I really am going to have a baby. And yes Preston, (and I'm sure the rest of you reading this) I know "we just got Landon". :) What can I say, we love him so much we just want more like him. I feel like 2 babies is the norm. 3 Babies, people think you have your hands full. 4 babies...WOAH, WAIT...WHAT?? Now they just think you're crazy (funny part is I don't even think 4 is a lot). More than 4 I can't even imagine what people would say.

Responses to the news thus far have been things like...You do know how to prevent that right? Was this an oops? You know there are ways to stop this....Uh, Thanks!!?? I'll laugh along with you but I don't actually think your'e funny. Thankfully there have been other normal congratulations...whether they meant it or not.

We love children. We love the incredible amount of joy we feel with every baby to joins our family. Yes, things are crazy and chaotic at times, but that's OK. We love raising them and teaching them. We love to watch them grow and become good, happy, kind people. We are so excited for another baby and the changes it will bring to our family.

Landon's {First} Birthday

Wesley {Our Little Burst Of Sunshine}

Wesley is a burst of sunshine.

He is so full of joy and light. This little boy is inspiring.

He makes me want to never wipe a smile off my face. To never have a bad day.

...And to never want to put him to bed. :)

Spring Break {Part3}

Thursday night we were lounging around trying to think of something really fun to finish off our spring break, when Skyler whips out his computer and discovers Disney On Ice is in town. SCORE!

That's always one of those dreamy things you hear people talk about, so the moment I heard there were still tickets available I was in...and as giddy as a school girl! Skyler's parents decided it would be fun to take the whole family. And they so graciously got a ticket for every single one of us!

Seeing Preston's face light up when he would recognize one of his favorite characters...Priceless!

Watching him dance and clap to the music and yelling along with the characters, that indeed was pretty magical.

I've chalked down my childhood Disney World/Disney Cruise as the trip of a lifetime. Ever since then Disney has had a magical place in my heart!haha ok, not really...but everything Disney just seems to be so magical and fun!

Wesley spent the first half sitting in his car seat wondering what all the fun was about. He joined us after intermission and was glued to the show the rest of the night!

Prestons all time favorite part was seeing Captain hook and Peter Pan & he loves to tell people about the wildebeest that chased Simba...it makes for a rather confusing conversation.

Wesley {7Months}

Valentine's Day marked 7months for our chubby little love bug.

* He is more in love with bath time, kicking and splashing like a little fish the whole time.

* Eating lots(if you can't tell) & loves to munch on those cereal puffs and yogurts drops.

*Started this squawking thing to get everyones attention. It was so funny the first few times he did it, now it's just LOUD!

*He is on the move...BACKWARDS. We find him in all sorts of places, but mainly up against walls and under tables, whatever stops him first.

* He thinks it's hilarious when Preston bugs him. Just when I think Prest is doing something mean to Wes, I hear Wes bust out in laughter...not sure if that's a good thing.

* He says DADDA! I'm not convinced he knows what he is saying, but it sure sounds like it.

I Am a Child of God

Today we turned on a "I Am a Child Of God" video/song and I caught Preston singing a little.

I think it's the first time I have actually heard him sing it, and it was just about the sweetest thing ever. Then we replayed it at least 20 more times until he knew almost all the words!

One of the most important things we could possible teach our sweet little boys is that they are children of God.

It warmed my heart a little to know that Preston is learning something so special, and one day he will completely understand that.

So until then we will just keep singing...

New Years Eve {2012}

Another {great} year down in history!

We started off our evening of games with Fruit Basket Upset. (Sounds silly...kind of is) but it gets pretty intense, It's a family favorite!

Then we moved on to hide and go seek in the house for the next 2hrs! If you have ever played hide and go seek in our house, you know you're in for a treat. Lots of places to hide and it's really dark when all the lights are out (Like so dark you can hide in the middle of the room and know one finds you until they run into you).

Playing games, eating delicious food, reminiscing about the biggest injuries of the year (that's usually a long list in our family), and sharing our fondest memory of 2012.
