Out With A Bang

For our 4th of July celebrations we headed up to Driggs ID...for those of you who have never been to Driggs you're missing out, one of my favorite places in Idaho, SO SO BEAUTIFUL! And It's where you'll get an amazing view of these babies...

The Grand Tetons, and yes they were still covered in snow!
We were lucky enough to have Skyler's parents in town so we were able to celebrate with them, and Preston sure has been enjoying having them around! We also celebrated with Skyler's brother Darren and his family, we had lots of fun being around some of our family!
The big celebration was at Huntsman Springs. We caught the tail end of the air show, Watched a dog show, saw a little car show, watched a hypnotist from Vegas (which was pretty funny), played some games and just enjoyed ourselves in the summer heat!
Yes, Preston actually did knock over all three of those jars at the same time... he is obsessed with balls so he's been working on his arm/aim!
Here are a few awesome tricks from: Jump - The ultimate dog show! These dogs were super cool!

After a fun afternoon, delicious food & delicious snow cones, we camped out on the golf course for a while waiting for the real party to begin! We got to listen to a great little patriotic speech from Glenn Beck which Preston slept through, and as soon as the sun went down we watched the fireworks!

I'm not sure what it is I LOVE so much about the sky exploding with fire, but I sure do LOVE IT! Here are just a few of the fireworks we saw. One of the best firework shows I have ever seen, and since we were close you could feel them exploding which makes them ten times better! This was our last 4th of July spent in Idaho so I'm super glad we went out with a HUGE bang!

Preston LOVED the fireworks, every so often he would point to the sky and say...WOOO, WOW!!

Grandma Dena brought Preston lots of fun gifts, one of which was a box of chalk that we used to decorate our front porch for the holiday!
The Driggs events actually happened on Saturday the 2nd so the morning of the 4th we headed down town for the Rexburg parade. Preston really just loved picking up all the candy that was thrown in his direction. Later that evening we had some more delicious food over at Darren and Chelsea's. Chelsea picked up some fireworks for the Kaiden and Preston which they both loved (A big thanks to Chelsea for grabbing the fireworks). The poppers were their favorite, we would set them on the ground and they would stomp all around popping them, it was super cute!
We are so grateful for the country that we live in and the freedoms that we have. We love that we get to celebrate such a wonderful holiday!
